FireRaptor Is a Huge Hit at Intersolar 2018
Europe's largest solar exhibition played host to the FireRaptor again in June 2018, and interest in our unique solar panel rapid shutdown solution hit an all-time high as potential customers flocked to stand B3.149 to register their interest in the product. A large number of Norwegian soplar installers were particularly interested as new legislation in Norway is due to be introduced in Jan 2019 that means all new solar installations require a shutdown solution. Naturally, the FireRaptor offers the protection and peace of mind they were all looking for. A new technological step was also undertaken as we introduced QR codes enabling stand visitors to access information directly on their mobile devices, which proved very popular.
FireRaptor Gathers Momentum at Solar & Storage Live 2017
The UK's largest dedicated solar exhibition returned to the NEC in October 2017, and IMO were again exhibiting the FireRaptor and Solar Isolator range of products. The FireRaptor featured at Solar & Storage Live 2017 now carries UL approval and offers the additional features of remote or hardwired alarm signalling. As the FireRaptor's functionality is completely independent, it is compatible with any string inverter and is also compliant with US NEC2017 and has FCC approval. Additionally, it is supplied with IMO's unique 20 year manufacturer warranty.
SIM - The Next Evolution in TRUE DC Isolation
At Intersolar, Munich 2017, IMO introduced the brand new SIM - Mini Solar Isolator. Hailed as the next evolution in TRUE DC isolation, the SIM offers improved switching capacity, extended mounting options, and a lower cost compared to the market-leading SI range, and all encompassed in a more compact, smaller body. FireRaptor Launch at Solar Energy UK 2016
Solar Energy UK | Clean Energy UK - the UK's largest solar dedicated exhibition took place at the beginning of October 2016 at Brimingham's NEC, and FireRaptor was introduced to the British public. Following its excellent reception at Intersolar 2016 in Munich, Solar Energy UK generated huge amounts of interested roof-top designers and installers responding to demand for improved fire safety from the market. In particular, UK insurance companies are becoming increasingly concerned with fire safety given that UK fire fighters have a duty to minimise commercial losses consequently mitigating insurance risk and payout.
FireRaptor Pre-Launch at Intersolar 2016
In June 2016, IMO took the FireRaptor concept to Intersolar in Munich, Germany. As leaders in solar safety, and manufacturer of the market-leading IMO SI range of TRUE DC solar isolators, IMO have yet again innovated and created a product which addresses another area where safety in solar arrays is paramount. The FireRaptor is a solar panel rapid shutdown solution which provides three forms of emergency rapid shutdown to ZERO volts. It utilises a manual switch which can be sited virtually anywhere, giving the fire department the ability to quickly isolate power to the solar panels, from stree level. The interest the FireRaptor gained was significant, and the stand at Intersolar was inundated with interested people, making it a hugely successful show for IMO.

IMO Canada were approached to offer a reliable solution for solar rtacking control to replace an existing set up which included programmable relays and time-based PLC tracking controls. The customer's site contained a large number of high quality, 2 axis solar arrays built on rural farm properties, that were starting to fail, and that the company that originally designed and installed the system had since gone out of business.
